10 – 12 months
½ a ripe avocado
¼ of a tomato, chopped into small pieces
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1. Cut an avocado in half down to the stone, twist to pull one half away from the stone, then scoop the flesh out of the skin with a spoon.
2. Put the avocado flesh into a small bowl and mash it well with a fork.
3. Heat the olive oil a little, over medium heat in a small frying pan then turn heat to low, add the chopped tomato and cook slowly until very soft.
4. Mash the tomato well with a fork then add it to the avocado and mash in thoroughly.
For the older babies who are good at chewing solids, make a sandwich or serve up on some toast!
