INGREDIENTS
½ cup of cooked quinoa
½ a ripe banana, peeled and well mashed
½ cup of whole milk

METHOD
1. Pour a ½ cup of water into a small saucepan (with a lid) and bring to the boil over medium heat, then stir in ¼ cup of quinoa and bring back to the boil.

2. Reduce the heat to low, put the lid on the pan, and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes, until the water has been absorbed and the quinoa is soft – checking that it does not boil dry.

3. Blend the mashed banana with the milk in a small bowl then pour into a small saucepan.

4. Add ½ cup of the cooked quinoa and simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes, until thickened.

5. Use a stick blender to make a smooth puree, adding extra milk, fresh breast milk or formula if necessary – or stir and mash well to serve.
