Barley, Broccoli, Turkey and Yogurt Combo

INGREDIENTS
2 cups of water
1 cup of pearl barley
1 medium sized skinless chicken or turkey breast
2 cups of chopped, pre-steamed or poached broccoli
1 cup of plain yogurt

METHOD
1. Using a small pot either poach or steam chicken breast until cooked through.

2. In a separate pot, bring the water to the boil in a medium-sized saucepan and add the barley.

3. Stir, reduce the heat, and simmer for 25 – 30 minutes until barley is soft.

4. Remove pan from the heat and leave to sit for 5 minutes.

5. Add the turkey or chicken, broccoli, and yogurt to the barley and combine well.

6. Use a stick blender or mash well with a fork to get the desired texture.

7. Add formula or breastmilk to thin if necessary.
