INGREDIENTS
1 cup of cracked wheat
1 potato
125 grams (4 ounces) of boneless chicken
1 clove of garlic
2 cups of milk
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of butter

METHOD
1. Put the cracked wheat into a bowl, cover with water, leave to soak for 30 minutes, then drain off any water.

2. Peel the potato and cut into small pieces.

3. Cut the chicken into small pieces.

4. Peel and crush the garlic clove.

5. Melt the butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, add the garlic and fry gently for about 30 seconds. Stir to avoid burning, using a non-metal spoon.

6. Pour in the water, bring to the boil over high heat, and stir in the cracked wheat, diced potato and chicken.

7. Cook, stirring, for 2-3 minutes.

8. Add the milk, bring back to the boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 15 minutes – stirring occasionally until well cooked and thick.

9. Cool a little then use a stick blender to process to a puree.
