INGREDIENTS
½ cup of porridge oats (oatmeal)
1 ripe banana, peeled and well-mashed

METHOD
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C (350F).

2. Use a food processor or grinder to mill the oats to a fine powder.

3. Lightly oil a flat baking tray.

4. In a small bowl, gradually add ground oats to the banana until it becomes a sticky dough.

5. Using floured hands, take small pieces of the dough and roll into finger shapes.

6. Place them on the baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes, until just golden brown (do not over bake or they will be too hard).

7. Cool on the tray, and serve as a chewy ‘finger food’.

HANDY HINTS
If you want these a little sweeter then add in a teaspoon of honey!
